Itinerary
Are you ready to delve into the history of Almuñécar? We will meet at 10:00 a.m. outside the palace of La Najarra. We will walk through the gardens of this neo-Arabic building and visit some of its rooms. You will love it!
Afterwards, we will go to the Botanical and Archaeological Park El Majuelo, located at the foot of the castle of San Miguel. In this place we will come across more than 180 species of plants and trees and we will also discover the remains of an old fish salting factory. We will reveal all the secrets of this construction that dates back to the 5th century BC.
After this journey into the distant past, we will go deep into the old town of Almuñécar while we tell you one of the best-known local stories: the legend of the Virgin’s well. We will then stroll through the Plaza de la Constitución, we will visit the church of the Encarnación and we will reach the Roman aqueduct Carrera de la Concepción, one of the best preserved in Andalusia.
